3 Things I Learned:
How to set up and build a full WordPress site on my own
The basics of SEO, like keyphrases and meta descriptions in a website
How to customize themes, add content, and make sure everything actually works within my website
Things I Wish We Had More Time For:
More design customization, it’d be awesome to build my own theme from scratch
More advanced SEO and analytics
Expectations vs. What I Actually Learned
When I started this class, I thought it would be pretty simple—mostly clicking around WordPress. But I ended up learning way more about creating a real, functional website. I got a better understanding of planning pages, writing content, improving SEO, and even checking accessibility. It was more involved and a bit trickier navigating it than I expected it to be, but I’m glad because now I actually feel confident making my own site
